05/09/2019 - Saturday, May 18 is this year's Big Day for DOAS. The Big Day is a group effort to locate as many bird species as we can in a single fun day. Birders, working in groups of whatever size they desire and spending any amount of time they choose within that 24 hours, will attempt to identify as many species as possible and report on their efforts to the Big Day coordinator, Charlie Scheim. Everyone is welcome, novice or experienced. If you are interested and have not participated before, please contact Charlie at 607-434-4880 or firstname.lastname@example.org to join or start a group. People who have participated before will be contacted by their leaders.
Note that DOAS Big Day is not the same as the May 4 Global Big Day because May 4 is a bit too early in the year for our location.
