A Memoir of Margaretville: 150 years of Music in the Mountains,” a concert by vocalist Gina Hanzlik, will cap the village of Margaretville’s 150th birthday celebration on Saturday, July 26.
The program begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church on Church Street, Margaretville. It will explore the past century and a half of music from opera to folk songs, classical to pop standards. Accompanied by Anna Stromer on viola, Hanzlik promises the concert “will be a little walk through history, with a special focus on the Catskills and the ties that bind a community together.”
