The Delaware County Historical Association, will host a basket making workshop Sunday, Feb. 26 from 12 to 5 p.m. with a snow date of March 5.~
Participants will learn to weave a footed storage basket with a 10” square base and including the feet, measures about 10” high. Natural or dyed reeds will be used.
This is a basket suitable for both beginner and experienced weavers; all materials and tools are included in the cost of $75 per person, which includes a $40 materials fee. Those attending should bring a small towel to soak up excess water.
The class will be taught by master basket weaver Martha Bremer who has been weaving and teaching baskets for more than 30 years.
