Check out the Franklin Stage Company: This local theater group produces a variety of plays and musicals in the warmer months. It’s a great way to experience the local arts scene and enjoy a night out. The theater is located in historic Chapel Hall built in 1855, one of two remaining buildings of Delaware Literary Institute (DLI), which offered classical educations for children. The other building is Stone Hall, built in 1836, a three-story stone structure adjacent to Chapel Hall. Explore the Franklin Farmers Market: Held on Sundays during the summer months, this farmers market offers a variety of local produce, baked goods and crafts.
