Join The Dragon Wagon Book Bus on a magical journey through Delaware County with best-selling author Tracey West for an enchanting event as the bus embarks on its inaugural journey – on Independent Bookstore Day, Saturday, April 27 – that promises to delight book lovers with two stops in Delaware County.

The Dragon Wagon, a mobile bookstore serving young people in the Western Catskills, is a project of author and creator of the Dragon Masters book series Tracey West and her husband Billy Hancock, launched to promote literacy by increasing book choices and access for rural readers, especially access to diverse books and authors.

The bus will be at Louise Adelia Read Memorial Library, 104 Read Street, Hancock, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and at Veterans Park, Main Street and Railroad Avenue, Stamford, from 3 - 5 p.m.

The Dragon Wagon will offer a curated selection of books for young readers up to high school seniors. Each child who visits can receive a brand-new book of their choice absolutely free. In addition to a free book, visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase additional books.
